Pollard Oak Extension Table
A monumental extension table with all six original leaves is a great rarity. The pollard oak is highly figured. A wide ebony band inlay is inset six inches from the top edge running the circumference of the table. The table edge has a thumbnail molding. The five sturdy bulbous legs are turned and reeded and inlaid with ebony and set on large brass casters. To extend the table there is a removable crank handle which winds out the extending mechanism. The six oak leaves are stored in an accompanying original oak storage box. This table would have graced the dining room of an important English country home. The table will seat twenty four comfortably.
